November 11, 2009: Boulder, Colorado.

Boulder is excited to announce the official release of the 1008 Phono Preamplifier, derived from the many features in the world-renowned 2008 Phono Preamplifier. After 25 years, Boulder continues to engineer and manufacture the finest performing audio electronics in the world.

The 1008 features fully-balanced, dual-mono audio circuitry. The first gain stage is the new Boulder 985 discrete circuit to achieve incredibly low noise levels. Other features include a switchable 10 Hz low cut filter, selectable mono mode for mono recordings played with a stereo cartridge, and extensive magnetic shielding to eliminate any interference in the audio stages.

The 1008 Chassis has been engineered to match the rest of the Boulder 1000 series. Machined aircraft-grade aluminum panels create a solid casework minimizing vibration and acoustic resonance. As with the rest of Boulder's 1000 series, pushbuttons are hand-polished stainless steel to provide a timeless, stylish appearance. Listeners will enjoy improved clarity from their vinyl collection.
